The Glynn Academy Marching Band performed their halftime show on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Glynn County Stadium in Brunswick, GA. Enjoy their fine performance!

The Glynn Academy Marching Band joined other outstanding marching bands from around the country in their performance at the AllState Sugar Bowl halftime show at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA on January 1, 2016. While Chris gave us the "side view", this video is of the "back view". It was shot with a hand-held 35mm camera, so the quality is not as good as some other videos. Enjoy the bands' performance nonetheless!

After the Brunswick High School - Glynn Academy football game on Saturday, October 15, 2016, the drumlines from the two schools met in the end zone for a little percussive competition. While I feared for my safety at times, the high schoolers appeared to be having a great time!

The Glynn Academy Marching Band from Brunswick, GA competed in the 18th Annual Okefenokee Sound of Gold Marching Championship on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Memorial Stadium in Waycross, GA. Glynn Academy was one of thirteen bands competing in the championship and one of three Class AAA bands (71-95 wind instruments). With straight “Superior” ratings in all categories, the band finished in second place in Class AAA and sixth place overall. The following groups were also awarded “Best in Class”: Drum Majors, Field Percussion, and Pit Percussion. Having had two kids participate in the Glynn Academy Marching Band, it has been a true pleasure watching this band grow and develop, both as a group and as individuals, for the last six years under the outstanding leadership of Director Chris Duke (Glynn Academy Teacher of the Year 2015-2016). Enjoy the band’s fine performance! On behalf of the parents, seniors, and alumni, we look forward to many more superior performances from the Glynn Academy Marching Band for many years to come.
